With 50 years of history in Toronto, Wynick/Tuck Gallery has presented well over 500 exhibitions, including solo exhibitions for artists such as Greg Curnoe, William Kurelek, Doris Mcrthy, Michael Snow Lawrence Weiner and Ted Rettig. The gallery has also presented many curated and thematic exhibitions, collaborated with public galleries and artist run centres, and exhibited at international art fairs in Toronto, Chigo, Madrid and Cologne.
Wynick/Tuck Gallery emerged from Toronto’s St. Lawrence Market neighbourhood and has had six spaces in historic Toronto neighbourhoods near St. Lawrence Market or King and Spadina. Gallery Directors Lynne Wynick and David Tuck have served on boards and committees for many arts organizations and institutions, including the nadian Cultural Property Export Review Board (CCPERB), the Executive and Appraisal Committee of the Professional Art Dealers Association of nada (now ADAC), the Art Gallery of Ontario, the Doris Mcrthy Gallery of the University of Toronto and the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, among others.
